LICENSING / SOURCE NOTES

What a license claim does—and doesn’t—say

Soundsoo records the words and permissions found on creator sources. The rights holder’s current terms remain the authority for how a pack can be used.

USE IN FINISHED MUSIC

Creator-stated commercial use

The creator’s reviewed terms say commercial music use is permitted. The original files still belong to their rights holder.

UNKNOWN IS VISIBLE

Use terms not stated

If the source does not clearly state the use rights, the pack stays marked unconfirmed. Do not infer a license from a free price or an unqualified product description.

SOUNDSOO AUDIO

Preview hosting permission

A creator must explicitly permit Soundsoo to store and stream a short preview. The pack page also needs a hosted preview URL before an audio player appears.

FULL PACK FILES

Original-file redistribution permission

Permission to redistribute the original samples, ZIP, or other files is separate from commercial music use and from preview hosting.

What Soundsoo hosts today

The current catalog is metadata-only. Soundsoo links to the creator’s page and does not copy third-party sample audio or pack artwork. No pack currently has an explicit Soundsoo audio-hosting permission and approved hosted audio URL.

What happens when a source is unclear?

We display “not stated” or “not confirmed” and link to the official source. Price, email requirements, or the phrase “royalty-free” do not fill in missing permissions.
